Roku Ultra Setup Issue black screen

I factory reset my roku. When I went to boot it back up, the Roku loading screen plays for a little bit and then it just goes black. I've tried plugging it in and replugging it and factory resetting it again and it just keeps doing the same. Im using the app as a remote and nothing happens when I click any buttons.

    We completely understand your concern about your Roku Ultra, which only displays a black screen after a factory reset. We're here to get this sorted out. 

    Here are a few things you can try:

    • Try a different HDMI port. Check if there are any available HDMI ports at the back of the TV and connect your Roku Ultra to a different one to see if there are any changes. 
    • Try the device on a different TV. To isolate the issue, try the device on a different TV. If the issue continues to persist, the problem will be within the device. If not, it could be on the TV. 
    • Change your HDMI cable. The HDMI cable transmits audio and video from the device to your TV. Thus, changing it might fix the problem, as it could be the one causing it. 

    If all of these steps do not resolve the issue that you're experiencing, let us know so we can explore more troubleshooting options.
