Roku Stick Remote repairing

So I actually figured it out. I'd paired the roku stick remote to my  Upstairs roku tv (since it had the voice option)  long story short I didn't use it for long with the tv. NOW I'd taken the roku stick off the tv downstairs at some point for a few months. Plugged it in today  and noticed the stick remote was STILL paired with my upstirs roku tv.  below is what I had to do to get the roku stick and remote to work again on the regular tv

turn off TV (with the roku stick plugged in) for 10 second TURN on TV hopefully, that prompts your roku to update (again remember this hadn't been plugged in for months) wait until the update completes (or unplug your tv and/or the roku stick until it updates

at the same time you turn off the tv take out the remote batters

after the update is done put back in the batteries and it "should" work after that.
