Roku rechargeable remote doesn't work unless plugged in.

I got to same problem as others mentioned. I also opened mine up and found that the black wire wasn’t connected anymore.  I do Not own a soldering iron to fix the problem in a diy way.  Electrical tape just isn’t going to cut it. Can you please help with this?

    It seems like you're also having issues with your Roku Remote only working when it's plugged in. Can you share more details? 

    • When did the issue first start? 
    • Have you tried using a different charger? 
    • Could you tell us the model of your Roku remote?
