Roku Media Player Needs Some TLC

I purchased the Roku Ulta primarily to be able to play videos from a USB drive. Unfortuantly, it appears that not much effort has gone into the Media Player app. There are two vital functions that are missing. 1) When you fast forward or backwards, the player should be playing the video in fast motion so you can find where you are at and where you want to start viewing the video. 2) It would be really nice if you could watch a video at an excellerated speed such as 1.5x or 2x, etc.

    RMP doesn't really contribute to the Roku's main function, which is to stream input coming in over the internet.  It's pretty much become an orphan that hasn't received any attention or development in several years.
