The Roku Media Player app does support M3U playlists. I don't know about the 8 at the end of the file name, though. But if it sees the playlist then it's probably supported. Since it won't load the URL, that tells me the Roku cannot play the media at the linked site. I would need to know the media contents to advise if it's supported by Roku.

I just looked at the file contents at the link, and it appears that it's opening another playlist file on the site. I don't think Roku supports opening a playlist within a playlist, but I've never done so with my playlists, as they're all for local files.

  • It is the Live Streaming URL and i want to play it using the default Media Player of the Roku.
But other TV's like LG, Samsung and Google ChromeCast support this type of URL

I’m guessing, since I haven’t tried that specific function, but I think Roku only supports playlists for local files. I don’t think it will work with a streaming URL. I used to have a contact within Roku that would know the answer, but he retired a number of years ago, and no one in Roku will respond to my requests about RMP anymore.
