Roku 4 remote eats batteries like mad, now the batteries only ladt 2 days

Roku 4 YY007W095784 Build 10.0.0 4209-17 its been a problem in the past with the battery drain in the remote but has gotten far worse recently  now i have to replace the batteries every two days ...

What Roku model device are you using? Are you using the Private Listening feature on your remote?

My batteries are draining quickly too. Has to be an actual fix. 

I got a speaker/stream at to go with my roku tv. This came with a new remote.

well this new remote sucks. Please help!
