I was recently given a Roku stick model, 3810 X without the remote, which remote can I purchase minimally speaking that will work and I connect to the stick?
I’ve heard it has to have a pair button, and I’ve also heard that the voice command remotes are the only ones that I can buy, is this true thank you in advance
No remote will control that model of Stick directly, Wifi Voice remotes with pairing button will only communicate with the original USB cable with bump in the middle that come with 3810 Stick. No long-Range wireless receiver, no remote not internet for that Stick. So, do you have this usb with bump in the middle? It no longer available for sale separately. Without it that Roku stick is worthless.
Roku sells three Voice remotes, one for $19.99, and two at $29.99. IR remote of any kind will not work with Sticks.
Stick requires usb cable that runs everything
Unless the giver also gave you the required cable, model WR001 you cannot use Stick. Most everybody's male connecter breaks because it has to plug into the 3810x which holds the weight of power cords, adapters more so they break and can mess up your hdmi connection as well.
