Replaced USB Power Cable with Wi-Fi Receiver with standard micro USB cable
So I can either buy a replacement cable for $20 and wait for delivery, Or I can goto Walmart and buy a whole new Roku stick for $19.99? This is ridiculous.

It is what it is. Often something can be replaced for the same or less money that replacing a defective part. Certainly not unique with Roku. Unfortunately, for your Roku, that specific cord is required to work. Using a basic USB cable will not allow the WiFi to work, making the device pretty much useless.
