remote won't work

I WANT TO USE MY ROKU 3 ON A NEW TV. I CONNECTED IT AND IT COMES ON BUT THE REMOTE DOESN'T WORK. ANY IDEAS HOW TO FIX THIS

    Please be aware that the Roku 3 is an older Roku device that is no longer under warranty. It's possible that the remote or device may simply be on its way out.
