I have a very old 40" Target Black Friday special Westinghouse tv that has terrible luck with universal remotes. It is model number VR-4085DF. I had hoped the Roku voice remote would work with it but it does not. Like another commenter Westinghouse tv code 5 turns it off and on when the mute button is pressed but the volume keys do other things and the universal control from the Roku remote is useless. I guess this is the price of having a 13 year old, cheap TV in the modern era... some things just won't work.
If way old try the Sony tv codes, if they don't work try the Samsung tv codes.
