I am a former AV sales exec and have owned a 55" LG OLED for years. Previous to that I owned Panasonic Plasma which were the best in class during that time period. The LG OLED is head and shoulders above plasma and the company is the leader with this tech. That said, you might have chosen a smaller screen size and spent less, though I plan to upgrade to the same TV you have in the near future. The other thing you'll find is that LG consistently releases WebOS and other updates for years
