My verizon remote keeps switching the Cable HDMI source to Roku's HDMI

I just installed ROKU and everything works perfectly.  Except when I want to watch Verizon Cable tv, I push any button on the remote and it automatically switches the Source input from Verizon HDMI 2...

    Go into the roku settings> system> control other devices> uncheck 1-touch play box.

    I have the same problem with a Samsung TV and Verizon FIOS. All firmware is up to date. After turning the TV off and on, the input source switches to the Roku. At that point, it's "locked" on the Roku and the input source button doesn't work. When I try the solution, the box for 1-touch is unchecked. Any other thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
