Mobile app not connecting to the TV

I’ve always liked the headphone feature it comes in handy during the night while my girlfriend sleeps I connect AirPods and watch tv without her being disturbed. Recently the app hasn’t been connecting to my tv I’ve updated the app and the tv tried restarting them both, I’ve also tried connecting them manually through my I.p which says it can’t be found. Everything is under the same network so I’m having trouble understanding what the issue is I’ve tried everything could i get some help please.

  • That sounds so annoying! 😅  Try clearing the network settings on the TV and re-pairing from scratch, as you have already upgraded and rebooted both devices.  Additionally, confirm whether the app's permissions have changed since the upgrade.  These hidden connection problems can occasionally be resolved by reinstalling the app or cleaning its cache. 👍🌿✨

    We understand you're experiencing issues with your Roku mobile app not connecting to your Roku TV. Thank you for trying a workaround and attempting to resolve the issue. 

    Ensure "Device Connect" is on. You can do this by going to Settings > System > Advanced System Settings > Device Connect, then reconnect the Roku app to the TV. If problems persist, contact your internet provider, as devices may be blocked on your network.
