Streaming Stick shuts off audio after the ad starts

Software was updated upon new installation 6.1.25, and there is a similar problem reported and claimed to be solved, but it is not solved in the latest s/w update. So far, only solution is to unplug power and restart. Hardly acceptable.

 The problem described already but is not solved on new stick.

    We understand you’re having an issue with your new Roku Streaming Stick and want to gather a bit more info to better assist you.

    Could you let us know the following?

    • Device info: Model number, Serial Number or Device ID, and software version (found under Settings > System > About)
    • Which streaming channels are you seeing the issue on, or are all other channels working fine?
    • Does this happen on all movies/shows, or just specific ones?
    • Are you using any kind of external audio setup with your Roku device? (Like a soundbar, AV receiver, etc?)

    Once we have that info, we’ll be able to take a closer look.
