wanab you cannot program the Roku remote to control an AVR using IR. The remotes with IR only have the codes for TVs, not AVRs or soundbars. If you can't get CEC to work, you're dead in the water using a Roku remote. Don't forget that even with CEC control, all you get it the ability to change the volume, make the AVR switch to the Roku input (if it's not already there) and sometimes control the power. You can't control any other function of the AVR with a Roku remote.
Thanks...I will have to check all settings again for the third time...maybe 3X's is the charm...

Still doesn't work... updated Denon receiver and Roku and still refuses.. This is going back to ABT...Not ready for prime time yet. Amazing that Roku can't get with the times for home theater enthusiasts.. Going back to Fire Stick 4K that does have the ability to control A/V receivers like my Denon..

I will say that this isn't the first time I've heard of CEC issues with Denon AVRs, and not just with Roku devices. You do what you have to do to make it work for you.

I use a Denon receiver and have no issues with my Roku. I can operate the volume fine with the Roku remote. So, it must have something to do with your TV's capability or settings.
