I have a Roku Streaming stick with a remote that has the voice button and can turn the sound up and down, my remote will turn the tv on and off and change the volume but won’t change the apps. The other buttons don’t work either. I have changed the batteries, unplugged the roku multiple times and reset my internet and it is still not working. I haven’t had this streaming stick and remote for very long
Thanks for the post.
Please send me a PM with your Roku account email address, and include the serial number/device ID on the Roku device along with a summary of the issue you are experiencing. I'll be able to assist you further from there.
Thanks,
Danny

What was the fix i am having same issue. Volume works, power button works, but can not change the apps.. no other button works on the remote. Fresh batteries have been installed did the unplug thing 20 different times pairing light is still blinking.
Could you tell us if it was fixed and or what was done??

My problem turned out to be that it was getting confused with the Roku device in the other room. I unplugged the _other_ Roku, then did the reboot with the one I was trying to fix and it paired fine. I think I had to do it another time, but mostly it’s fine.

I am having the same problem. The remote turns the tv on and off but won’t change channels. I changed batteries and unplugged the streaming stick and it didn’t help. Please be more explicit in your responses. When I turn it on the screen is not on the Home Screen it is on Netflix.

Hello Lindal518
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.
Try re-pairing your remote to your Roku stick then see if that will resolve the issue you're experiencing.
To re-pair your remote:
- Remove the power cable from your Roku device, wait 5 seconds, and then reconnect the power cable.
- Wait until your Roku device displays the home screen.
- Restart your remote. If your remote uses standard batteries, restart your remote by removing and reinserting the batteries. If your remote is rechargeable, press and hold the pairing button for 20 seconds. The status light should slowly flash green, stop, then flash rapidly. When this happens, release the pairing button and your remote has restarted.
- Press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds until you see the status light begin to flash. If the light does not flash, charge your remote or replace the batteries.
- Wait for 30 seconds while the remote establishes a connection with your Roku device.
Once the Roku device is connected to the remote, the pairing dialog should appear on your TV screen.

I’m having the same issue in the Home Screen. Going to the menu in the left and going to “what to watch”, featured free, live tv , and the others I can scroll through the options.
The problem only presents itself in the Home Screen.
