Error 016 No networks appear when I search

In the middle of watching a show on Netflix it shut down, telling me to connect to the internet. I tried and repeated the scan to see networks but there wasn't even a list of networks to chose from (not even my neighbors' networks). I'm sitting 6 feet from the Roku working on my laptop on the wireless network and sending prints to my wireless printer 12 feet away. The signal strength is excellent. How do I fix the scan feature so it is able to recognize wireless networks in range?

The first thing I would try would be a restart of the Roku.

These things are just special purpose computers. Like their big brothers sometimes clearing things out by restarting** them can correct problems.

Depending on your Roku model you'll find the "System restart" under "Settings > System > Power", or if you have no Power option, under "Settings > System".

If a restart doesn't do it, or if you don't have sufficient control with the remote to navigate the Roku menus, you can also restart by pulling the power plug to the Roku for a minute or so then plugging it back in.

** If yours is a Roku TV with "Fast TV" start enabled, turning the set off/on just puts it in/out of a low power standby state and doesn't give you a complete restart. Use the restart methods above.
