Disable remote on the roku app

I'm on the app on my Android phone and cannot for the life of me disable the remote from my phone?? I watch movies on phone and it automatically turns on my TV In the living room freaking out my parents when they are watching TV.. I need to disable the remote from the app..no other user just me any help would be appreciated

    312Sassy,

    Thanks for the update!

    It seems not to work for you, but let's try this.

    1. Launch the Roku mobile app.
    2. In the lower right corner, select Devices.
    3. Select the device that you want to remove by tapping this icon ***
    4. Then select Forget device.

    We will be more than happy to assist you further. Please follow the troubleshooting steps below:

    1. Launch the Roku mobile app.
    2. In the upper right corner, you will see an avatar icon. 
    3. Select Devices in account.
    4. Select the Roku device that you want to remove.
    5. Select Remove device from the account.

      That did not work it disabled my actual roku not the remote on the app!!! Remote doesn't even show up as a device just the actual roku
