I agree with you and that's why I created my own screensaver years ago. Unfortunately, it's no longer available because I never updated it when they discontinued support for the components it used. Given that theirs is something like 15 years old, it's not likely it's ever going to get updated to be a realistic digital clock. Who knows, maybe someday I'll recreate mine.
