Connecting remote to different roku

Can i connect my Tcl roku remote with my sanyo roku tv without wifi and if so how
remotes

w0kkstvrr, if it's not a voice remote with a microphone button, point it at the TV and if it works it works.  If it doesn't, the remote isn't compatible with the TV.  If it is a voice remote, it has to be paired with the TV before it will work.
