All my Wifi Roku players, connect with excellent signal, but internet download is maybe 1 mb
as I start to write this I got this error code "code rlp-1002 - network unavailable". get this a lot many times a day,
it is impossible to watch these devices anymore, they are 4k streaming sticks that look worse that VGA and cannot stream anything no matter what router or network speed I have. I have been using roku for years and all of a sudden last year all my wifi streamers (all bought within last 3 years) cannot watch a full 10 min of tv without failing.
I have tried all fixes and new routers, even brand new streaming devices and while nothing else in my house connects at less than 100GB the roku maybe on a good day will get 11mb and then stat to fail in less than 10 min. I have gigabit ethernet and wifi 6 available routers, and nothing works to stop the buffering, I have added more nodes to my network and the node is less than 5 feet from the device and still the same. the ones that have the ability to be wired work fine, but I have friends with the wifi models and all are having similar issues.
this is a shame as Roku was great for a while, but an update last year has caused issues that have not been resolved and from what I can see here, they don't care and don't plan to resolve them, they want us to spend hundreds more to buy new devices that will fail soon enough too,
I do not trust Roku anymore and I am getting rid of my current 10 roku devices and moving to Xumo Boxes. they connect to my routers just fine with good signal and do not buffer! unlike a roku that connected and used to show 50mb service and now all of a sudden only shows 2mb speed. this is ridiculous!
so tell me Roku, what is the resolution for my devices that were fine till an update came and now are crippled? how do I backout or Factory reset a roku? if they went back to original store bought they would work again I Am sure.
the only reason I use Roku was because they are one of the few devices that can run my Spectrum TV app, it is not available on Firesticks which worked great for me too. so as I can get this app on Xumo I no longer need to rely on Roku, so if I don't get a fix fast I will ditch these and move on to better things.

to any and all that happen upon this thread with the same issues, I have found my solution, I took apart a unit that was not working well at all, and looked it over with a magnifying glass and found the Dot that is supposed to be the antenna and I took a simple key ring and clipped it on the antenna and hooked it back up, the keyring touches the tiny metal spot that is the antenna and extends it the length of the keyring loop, and let me tell you I see a Huge difference!! I am now connecting at 25mbps and have watched hours of 4k quality picture and it has not failed or buffered since!! it's the Antenna inside the device which is the issue, it is a Tiny little dot of a thing and if it had not been marked on the board I would have missed it, but it is too small to get a signal, add some actual length to it and it functions, Imagine that!! hey Roku, Really? you can add 1 inch of wire for an antenna? my $5 ESP32 boards have longer antennas than these $50 devices? it's no wonder there is so much suffering in the Roku world, I will add links to some pictures soon to show how this HACK to add an actual antenna works and how it can be accomplished in less than 30 seconds, and video to show the difference in signal strength and lowered failure rate. I am Just an End User IT guy, I resolved this for myself, I do not have all the answers and I do not work for Roku, but I do know how to fix things that are broken and how things Should be designed.
