All my Roku devices are Double or triple clicking with one press of the remote.
Restart doesn't help and it happens only on the 2024 model. In my experience you can press back, Ok or play and the triple button that's being pressed is the play button.
It's to the point where I'm trying to change the video I want to play on my flash drive and it keeps pressing play bringing me back to the video.
That also happens to streaming services and when you just awaken the device. When you awake the device, it presses the play button which effectively turns on the current ad and if the app is uninstalls, it installs the app without your consent.
Never had there issues with my old 2020 Roku.
I found a solution!
It's not Roku's issue. It's the Samsung TV issue. Samsung TV remote performs those extra clicks automatically as it's set up as a universal remote control for Roku. I personally have an S95D. I've heard people had the same issue with different models.
To fix it, go to Home -> Connected Devices -> Universal Remote Setup -> Select Roku -> Remove
Ads are not going to play automatically anymore, apps are not going to install automatically anymore, you will not have to click five times just to perform the same action anymore.
Please vote this post up if it worked for you, so other people can find this post faster.
P.S. Roku representatives, please remember these steps as lots of people are having this issue and all the solutions you offer is to reset the device and remotes over and over again. This is the actual solution for this issue.
