For at least the last two months the AirPlay feature has stopped working properly. It connects to the TV and plays content for about 30 seconds without showing any visuals (artwork, video, etc) before disconnecting. I have to power cycle (system restart) my Roku TV every time to get it working properly.
This is extremely annoying and has already been previously reported to Roku customer support! There has been at least one update to my TV since this started that still has not fixed the issue. I demand an update and resolution on this issue in the next update.

For troubleshooting I’ve rebooted the router, reset network connections on Roku TV, made sure all devices were updated to the lastest software, toggled the Fast TV Start option in Roku settings. Issue has continued across updates to all devices from previous software versions.

I’m also having this issue, started about a month ago. I get 30 seconds before the Airplay Stream stops. I never had this problem before then, fails when using prior phone too
iPhone 13Pro
iPhone 16 ProMax
iOS 18.1 (22B83)
Roku TV TCL C157
serial X000004WL9L5 (S087716WL9L5)
software vers. 14.0.4 build 12221-93
tracker Id: L5-465-333
The TV is typically off(standby) when I connect to airplay and it would just play through to the connected stereo. Now it will play but shutoff after 30 seconds.
restarting router, updating all HomeKit devices (there is an Apple TV on the network), reconnecting TV to WiFi, restarting TV, nothing fixes it. Multiple apps streaming from Spotify, VLC, etc will not continue to play and just stop after 30 seconds

What’s completely insane to me is that this issue was reported almost a year ago. I’ve seen other posts for 2 years+ reporting the same issue. I am faced with this same issue. This is not okay. People pay for the convince of AirPlay which you all off on your Roku devices. For this issue to still be occurring is completely unacceptable. I am having the same issue with my Roku that’s updated. Along with my iPhone 14 that’s updated to the latest iOS as well. I have to restart my Roku each time and it’s honestly making me want to never purchase a Roku device in the future. With the development of technology, these issue should not still be prominent. How has it been years of the same continuous issue but not actual resolution within Rokus software? This is completely unacceptable and a fix is needed asap.

I agree, they asked for a bunch of info from me and never followed up. Terrible service and support and I will not buy another Roku
