4k or Plus which is good for tv reception on a WiFi

OK question never had one and me and my wife's tv reception is bad (in the valley) so will this bring in tv channels and will it also bring in our local channels too 
We don't  have a smart tv just a normal flat screen but I do have century link internet wifi if that means anything     or is there a real Difference  between 4K or Plus  for a non smart tv
