Unwanted camera notifications on the TV.

I am receiving unwanted camera  notifications on all TVs from all cameras.

  • They pop up in the  lower right corner if any camera has the motion detection active.
  • I do not have the camera app on any of the TVs.
  • I have turned off all notifications on the website (https://my.roku.com/account)
  • I have turned off all notifications in the phone app & on every camera. (Fortunately, I do not, nor have I ever received notifications on my phone)
  • I have uninstalled and re-installed the Smart Home and ROKU apps on my phone several times.

I have called support 3-4 times now. I performed all troubleshooting steps requested multiple times. They escalated the issue to level 2, with whom I performed more trouble shooting steps (each step at least twice).

Eventually, they gave up and told me the problem would be turned over to the programming team, who would be calling me. This was about 3 weeks ago, and i have yet to receive a call.

However, I have received at least two emails telling me the problem was resolved (it has not been). Each time, I replied to the email and called support to make sure they didn't close the ticket.

The last time I called, it took me 43 min to convince 1st & 2nd tier support that I had already done all the troubleshooting steps they had and that I wanted to speak with a supervisor.  When they finally agreed, I was promised a call back in 15-30 min. It has been over 24 hours, but there has been no call.

The tech support folks seem to try hard and really want to help, but the programers or whoever they have escalated this to seems incompetent, disinterested, or simply nonexistent.

I am extremely disappointed in what ROKU has become considering how well it worked at first.

I am also having this problem and have also contacted roku support for it to still be popping up on my screen, even deleted the roku cameras app off of my tvs, and camera notifications are still popping up and happening randomly.

    Wish roku would FIX THIS.

This morning I received another email claiming the problem was resolved.  Of course it was not. Notifications started almost as soon as I turned on a camera.

      ROKU support is useless.

I also got that email. I guess the only way around this is to make another roku account and put the cameras on that.

I don't want to do that.

We shouldn't have to do that since we've done what they have said, but they haven't done what they said they did.

        Sigh

So do i need a separate roku account for my cameras if i absolutely do not want tv notifications, even though all of my notifications are turned off on app and on tv, and I don't even have any app on my tv for the notifications to still be happening but yet im still getting them on my tv?
