Roku Indoor Camera SD not connecting to dorm Wifi

I am in a dorm room and cannot connect this camera to the Wifi. I got the SD card but still won't let me set it up

    Please be aware that the Roku Smart Home devices do not support internet dorm wireless networks connectivity.

I don't have a dorm internet, this is a home, but I do have a wireless internet does that matter
