My camera is taking pictures but not recordings

My camera is having issues I’ve played with the settings an it’s not working. I have a total of 3 cameras a the one in my back yard is having issues. It will only take pictures of people walking by no recordings. Majority of the time I can not watch the live feed. If it allows me to access it it’s actually frozen. Sometimes it completely misses the person walking by it takes a picture of nothing a says there’s a person there as I’m physically watching them walk by

  • I have had that happen before, is the outdoor camera a floodlight cam combo? Mine quit recording video to the Roku cloud like a month after we installed it and mine is connected via Ethernet directly wired into the internet, we have 2 gig fiber internet with speeds that avg 450mb down and upload speed is the same, I tried everything support suggested I ended up buying an sd card and put it in the camera weirdly it records to the snd card just fine no issues follows the settings I have on for ignoring packages, and animals but there is some issue with the outdoor cameras recording to the Roku cloud I can watch my feed live all the time just it didn’t even rec still photos to the Roku cloud.

Also the reason I’m even in this forum right now is mine has had a mic issue forever I cannot for the life of me hear is garbled it’s not like it’s static it’s sounds like muffled and if you talk through it our voices sound muffled and garbled it’s so odd but it records the sound just fine onto the sd card, it’s up to date on its software and firmware as well so I’m baffled at what to do with it.

have you tried seeing if you insert an sd card if it will rev just fine to that? This is gonna sound like a dumb question but have you double checked your subscription hasn’t lapsed like that happened to us one time the card had expired and it got denied so it would only rec stills.

personally I quit paying for the subscription bc half the time must of the cameras like you said didn’t catch the person if they walked fast enough, I also have a Roku tv and it when used with the app downloaded from the tv App Store is nice it too has access it would have videos or still from cameras and my phones app didn’t have them.

im also going on a search in the forums bc recently in the past 4 days my cameras all 3 of them stopped taking stills they are all connected to to the internet just fine can watch live feeds but zero stills.

as a last resort bc it is a pain to do it someone suggested to solve issues like these uninstall the camera from the app and then go through set up again and a lot of times for whatever reason it will fix the issues.

    Hope that helps maybe
