Unable to Pair Roku Wireless Speakers

Hello Roku Community,

I have been unable to pair my Roku Wireless Speakers (model 9020X) with my Roku TV (model 55R4AX, software version 15.0). The setup process proceeds to "Updating speakers..." and remains stuck indefinitely. I've tried the following troubleshooting steps without success:

- Factory reset both the Roku TV and the wireless speakers.
- Power cycled (unplugged and plugged back in) the TV, speakers, and router several times.
- Moved the speakers within 1 meter of the TV to eliminate interference.
- Verified that the TV and speakers are running the latest available software/firmware.
- Attempted pairing on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi‑Fi bands.

Despite these efforts, the speakers never finish updating and fail to pair. I’ve reached out to Roku support multiple times, but I haven’t received a resolution. From what I see on the forums, others with this model (9020X) have experienced similar problems, suggesting there may be a firmware issue.

I am requesting that this issue be escalated to the Roku engineering team. If there is a known fix or firmware recovery procedure for the 9020X speakers, please let me know. If not, what options exist for a warranty replacement?

    We understand you’re having trouble pairing your Roku Wireless Speakers and completing the update. Please try connecting to a mobile or personal hotspot and update the speakers again. Once the update is complete, attempt pairing the speakers once more.

      I tried all these and after chatting with your support team MULTIPLE TIMES I have been explained that it's a bug at Roku software and I will be contacted when it's fixed. I need to know when it will be fixed.

        Just to follow up: Could you please tell us, are you still having trouble pairing your Roku Speakers? If so, can you please try the following steps?

        1. Go to Home > Settings > System > Software update > Check now and install any updates.
        2. After updating, try pairing the soundbar again.
        3. If the issue continues, factory reset the speakers and attempt pairing once more.
