One or two speakers intermittently unpair from the streambar
Hello,
I’ve seen several threads on here pertaining to the 4 surround sound speakers stopping working and nobody getting a solid resolution. I am in the same boat and have been for months. I’ve scoured the web for help and have always come up dry. Whether it be Roku message board, Reddit, even YouTube comment sections.
My situation is this. I have a Roku steambar pro with four wireless speakers and the wireless sub. I noticed that the satellite speakers didn’t have sound coming from them and all had exclamation points ! next to their registry on the device settings. So I did the pair button again for all of them. Then I’d go to add them via settings on the bar. During the search it would maybe add 1 or 2. Sometime even all 4. But it would never progress past that point. Just stay stuck on that screen.
So then I did reset button method on them all. Same results. Then I unplugged them all for several minutes. Same results. Then I unplugged the sound bar and all the speakers and did everything again. Same results. It would just get stuck on the searching for speakers screen, regardless of how many it “found”.
Occasionally if I chose two speakers it will add them, but they’ll be wrong. For example it’ll be my back left and my front right only. Or some other incorrect order. I’ve even disconnected and reconnected my steambar to the WiFi to see if that helped. And the most frustrating thing is, once or twice I would be successful. It would find and register all 4. They’d play the correct sound from the correct speaker and everything. All working. But then the next day when I’d go to watch something, one or two speakers would have those exclamations on them again. And then I’d do the whole process over again, always to failure these last two weeks.
Please, has anyone had any success figuring out why satellite speakers stop working and how to get them working again?
