Bluetooth rugged mini speaker.

I was able to connect a ONN brand mini speaker to my router via Bluetooth but the sound on the TV is muted I believe because you have to use the headphones 🎧  option on your phone for the mini speaker to work. The mini speaker actually sounds great, I was just wondering if sound on the TV has to be muted and that's just the way it is or is there a work around? In other words I would like to have the volume on the TV audible and be able to put my mini speaker in another room...sorry for taking the long way to explain 😆 lol

  • Hi, renojim

    Welcome!

As advised by renojim in this thread, It's not possible to have audio output from your Roku TV and an external audio device—such as a speaker, headphones, or the Roku app's headphone mode—simultaneously.

When a Roku TV is connected to an external audio device, the TV's audio is muted, and the sound is directed to the external device.

    Hope this clarifies your concern.

    Thanks,

It's not really clear what your setup is, but as far as I know there's no way to get sound out of a Roku TV and another device (speaker, headphones, hearing aids) at the same time.
