YouTube buffering premium member

I was unable to reply to the supposed fix of the YouTube app buffering it only occurs on my Roku player it doesn't happen on my Samsung Smart TV. I refuse to log in as a guest and watch ads since I pay money not to watch them. The app was not fixed and it only happens on certain channels and I'm going to get political here because it's the truth it only happens on conservative-minded channels. If they are a channel that do not talk about their political preference then it does not buffer.

    To further investigate this we would like to know the following:

    • Are you referring to the YouTube TV app or YouTube channel?
    • When buffering occurs, does it return to the home screen, freeze, show a black screen, or just display a loading screen?
    • Troubleshooting steps that you have tried so far?

  • It's not just you. I upgraded to Premium specifically for my elderly father who like to watch youtube on his Roku TV, and immediately the buffering issues started. And not just on 4k videos or political stuff, it'll buffer on a 480p video. Never happened before upgrading to Premium, and if it did it was due to obvious bandwidth issues.

      We want to investigate this problem you had with the YouTube channel further. Can you please provide the following information?

      • What device are you using right now? (e.g. Roku Express, Roku Streambar, Roku TV –specify TV)
      • How far is your device from your network router?
      • Is the issue happening on all contents/channels or is this isolated to 1 content/channel? (Specify)
      • What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

      With detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
