Plex app playback issues after an update

I seen there was another discussion that 2 months ago about a similar issue was marked closed that it was fixed. It's not fixed. My Roku just updated and now it's doing the exact same thing. Video will start to stutter then eventually crash. The Plex app version 8.7 build 32. And the Plex preview app version 9.0 build 26 are both affected by this issue.

    It seems you're experiencing issues with the Plex app crashing after the recent update. We just wanted to confirm whether it's only the Plex app that's affected, and if the issue applies to all content within the app.

    Also, does this issue occur on all of your Roku devices, and have you checked if it works fine on your phone or computer?

      yeah only having issues with the plex app. Seems to only be an issue streaming local media from the Plex server. Streaming the same media from a PC does not have any problems.

        We'll try to look into this further. Mind sharing the following info below?

        • Roku device model, Device ID, Serial Number, and Software version (It can be found in Settings > System > About)
        • Tracker ID (Press Home five times, then press Back button five times when the issue occurs)
        • App build version (Highlight the app from the Home Screen and press the Star * Button)
