We watch NHK daily and we love this app. This is the main reason we use Roku. If it is not fixed, we have to leave Roku finding other alternatives. Please fix it!

The problem is that ROKU hasn't accepted the app update. It is working on all other platforms. NHK issued a statement, that you should know about, explaining the problem. This isn't a "troubleshooting" issue.
