NFL does NOT work on my Roku Ultra, but does work on my TLC Roku TV and other Roku devices

I have a home with seven televisions. Five of which have Roku devices (two Roku Ultras, two Roku expresses, and one TLC Roku TV.

The NFL app works just fine on four of them, but not one of my Roku Ultras.

I have tried deleting the app, unplugging the Roku Ultra, restarting the Roku Ultra, etc. but to no avail.

all other apps work just fine. I even tried moving the Roku Ultra to another room closer to the router, but still the same problem.

Below are the specs of my Roku Ultra where the NFL app is not working:

model: 4660X
serial #: YJ00**bleep** (not sure if this whole number is needed, but this seems to be unique)
software version: 14.6 build 4.9914-46
Device ID: CK392**bleep** (not sure if this whole number is needed, but this seems to be unique)

edit: after uninstalling and restarting my Ultra, the NFL app no longer works on ANY of my roku devices. what gives?

thanks for the quick response, RokuElizer-A,

the app splash screen displays with the NFL shield, then closes immediately within 2 seconds, going back to whatever screen I launched it from.

      Hello jco23

We saw your post about having trouble with the NFL app on your Roku devices. Thank you for sharing the troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried and for providing your device information. Let’s take a closer look and see what we can find.

Could you describe what exactly happens when the app fails to work? For instance, does it crash and return to the Roku home screen, or does it partially load and then freeze?

Have you checked for an app update? If not, highlight the app > press the star button > select Check for Update. Also, update your Roku device by going to Settings > System > Software Update > Check Now.
