Hulu app will not appear on Home Screen

The Hudl app will open and work fine on my TCL Roku TV but the app will not appear on the home screen.  I have restarted the TV and made sure all software is up to date.  The Hudl app adds to home screen and work fine on a Roku Streaming Stick 4k.  Anything short of a factory reset to solve this problem?

    Hey Shrimps_is_Bugs and HDMIGuy

We understand that you can access the Hulu app on your Roku devices, but it is not displayed on the Roku Home screen. Let's see if this works for you.

    1. Uninstall the Hulu app using the Roku mobile app
    2. Resinstall it again by using the Roku device or the mobile app
    3. Try a System restart if the app is still not available from the Roku Home screen.

To check the Live TV input setting on your Roku device: Go to Settings > Home screen > Menu items. Look for Live TV in the list, and check whether the check mark is set to Show or Hide. If it's marked as Hide, switch it to Show so the Live TV input appears on your home screen.

Let us know how it goes!

  • I am having the same issue today on just one of my 4 Roku TVs. Hulu app and Live TV input are suddenly missing from the home screen. I can launch Hulu by searching for it using left navigation, but no option to add it to the home screen because it thinks it's already there. All software is up to date for Roku and Hulu. Did system restart twice and did a power off for five minutes and back on again. Issue remains.

RokuRiamie-D In my case it was the Hudl app and not the Hulu app, however the solution you suggested worked.  I uninstalled using the Roku mobile app and then reinstalled using the TCL Roku TV.  Add to home screen was immediately available.  Thank you for the help.
