Digital Theatre not loading

I watch Digital Theatre shows on a TV using a Roku Express device, and have had no problems until the last few days, but now when I go into the DT app on the Roku, it loads normally and offers me the usual range of shows, I select one, then go to "play" and I just get a prolonged "loading" circle, then after a minute or so the screen goes blank, and the app is unresponsive.  I have restarted the Roku, I have deleted and reloaded the DT app, it makes no difference.  Every other app on my Roku is working normally, BBC iplayer, NT at Home etc.  I have another later generation Roku Express on another TV and exactly the same is happening.   If I go into DT on my PC I can play shows in the browser without any problem.  Has anyone else had a problem like this?

  • Many thanks to those on here who have tried to help.  I contacted Digital Theatre customer support and had a very prompt and courteous reply to the effect that their tech people would look into it, a message line appeared at the top of the DT home screen to say that a fault was being investigated, and two days later I had another courteous message to say that the problem had been fixed, which indeed it has, and have been given a month's discount off my next renewal.  I hardly need say what exemplary customer service!  Issue closed.

    Welcome AdrianSlater

It looks like you have an issue with the Digital Theatre app not loading when being launched, and thanks for trying to troubleshoot it.

Have you tried to update the specific app that is having an issue? If not, please press the Home button > Select the app that is not loading and press the Star (*) button > Select Check for updates. Once the app is finished updating, try opening it again.

  • Their website doesn't seem to encourage contacting them, but I eventually found: support@digitaltheatreconsumer.zendesk.com
