Welcome to the Roku Community, Snoopy9017!

We'd be happy to be of assistance here and suggest some steps to help you troubleshoot this app.

Before proceeding, are there any error messages prompted when you try to access this app? Is this the only app affected by this issue?

In the meantime, kindly follow the steps provided below:

    1. Remove the channel: navigate to your Home screen, move to the right, highlight the app, press Star*, then select Remove channel
    2. Perform a system reboot: navigate to your Home, select Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart
    3. Re-install the channel: navigate to your Home, scroll and select Store, look for the app, then press Add channel

We need to make sure that these steps have been done precisely to work. You may also visit this support article for more details information: How to resolve a channel playback issue

Keep us posted on how it goes and we'll continue assisting you from there.

    Warm regards,
    Carly

I have the same problem with Cinema Box. The steps below did not work. Every time a movie is selected in Cinebox, it just exists the app. No other app has a problem.

I also did this several times trying to get it or Movieland back and it does not show up in store. I have just left mine off till this network or cinemabox comes back. I check it from time to time and then shut the TV back off. Somebody needs to assist this developer in getting it back up, otherwise I will just stay on my antenna and forget ROKU. I live in an area where I can get local independent networks from 3 cities and rely very little on ROKU if the right networks aren't available, like CinemaBox and Movie Land.

Having the same issue. Followed your steps and it just exits to the home screen. Obviously doesn't work.

  • It was just up. I was going to watch Jaws. Roku took the app down again. What is the big deal. So once the community has a channel that a lot of people like and Roku can’t even give us that. With all the intake of funds, they can’t give us 1 channel. Very disappointed.

Hidi, when an app shows pirated content, which it obviously does (I guarantee he doesn't have the rights to stream Jaws), Roku will take it down.

I have about quit watching ROKU altogether as more and more networks want to charge for 50 year old movies that I can get on local channels for free and I hate all the ads on Pluto. TUBI is not quite as bad, but I have a lot of movies on the lesser networks like Cassablanca, Forbidden Planet, and many more. I will check from time to time for Movieland and Cinemabox and when one or both return to ROKU, I will watch again. For now, I am going to check on another streaming service like Firestick and others that might have Movieland or Cinemabox. I was watching a movie or 2 every day. Goodbye ROKU for awhile till one of them comes back.
