TiredHuman, it's not clear exactly what you're asking. If you subscribe to something through Roku, in general you can only use that subscription on Roku devices that are linked to the same Roku account. Your Roku account password is only used on Roku websites. You never need to enter it on a Roku device. Once that device is linked to your Roku account, it's linked, and entering your Roku account password would just be redundant. No provider has access to your Roku account password, so if a provider is asking you for a user name and password, they aren't asking for your Roku password. Roku subscriptions are even more confusing because a subscription to a premium service on The Roku Channel isn't good on the same provider's app and vice versa. If you stop auto-renewal on a subscription you still have access to the subscription until the end of the original subscription period. Once the original subscription expires you'll be able to remove the app.
I hope that's clear as mud. 🙂
Hi renojim,
Thanks for the reply to my post. I'll just try to restate my situation to see if i can clarify my problem further.
I subscribe to Paramount+ through Roku.
I just want to sign in to watch Paramount+ (on my Roku device). I had no problems previously. I just clicked on the app then clicked on my profile and viewed.
As of yesterday evening when i click on the Paramount+ app i am taken to a log in screen with 3 options. Sign up, Sign in and Sign in with partner(apple tv).
As I have an existing account which isn't through apple tv i obviously have to sign in. I attempt to sign in i am instructed to use my Roku account email address. As i said previously i subscribed through Roku rather than directly through Paramount+ so this makes sense. I am then asked for a password but my Roku password doesn't work. It does work to log in to my roku account online however.
I have attempted to uninstall and then reinstall the app but i have no option to do so. I can only move the app, check for updates and manage subscription. (I have turned of auto renew through the manage subscription option)
I have updated all apps and software. Paramount+ version 8.10 build 202401160 Roku model 3940eu express 4k software version 12.5.5 build 4174-cr
Can anyone help me to sign in to get the product I'm paying for and have wasted longer than I'd care to admit trying to fix?

Could you expand on that? Do you mean you go to roku.com, log in, and that makes P+ work on your Roku? Or something else?
Wait: Did you subscribe to P+ via Roku on the standalone P+ app, or via The Roku Channel?

Thanks for the reply strega2.
I just meant that i can log into my roku account on the web and i have a working password for that. It doesn't make the paramount+ app work.

I would not expect Paramount+ to know your Roku password. (And if I had accidentally given my password for service A to service B, then I would then go back and change my password at service A, since I had revealed it to someone else. But that might be a little paranoid, since a legitimate service B hopefully just disposes of failed logins.)
Are you sure you didn’t sign up for P+ from inside “The Roku Channel”? Some channels can be subscribed to within “The Roku Channel” and then you watch them there, rather than a standalone app.

I subscribed to paramount+ via the roku box. I pay to roku every month. Not via a paramount+ account.
I have a roku account with a username and password. I'm being told to sign in to paramount+ app on my roku box with an email address linked to my roku account and a password. I have tried using my roku password and it doesn't work. Is this the wrong password to use?
