Broadcast screen cut off on Hulu Live

I'm using a Roku express 4k on a LG TV. I've noticed that when I'm watching Hulu LIve during sporting events, the bottom of the broadcast screen is cut off.

When I use the Hulu app on the TV instead, the screen is not cut off. But the Hulu app on the LG OS runs so poorly, which is one reason I bought a Roku.

  • Not just the bottom - the sides are cut off too.

Have you tried checking the TV for any overscan options?  For example, on some TVs you need to find a setting like "pixel fit" to prevent it.  Possibly the built-in app knows it's on and adjusts or the setting may be separate for each input.  (Lots of TVs make some or all picture controls independent for each input.)

Something I searched up says that LG uses the name "Just Scan" for this.

Thank you. Turing Just Scan to on instead of "Auto" fixed the issue.

    Hey, whoneeds8.

    We're glad you shared this!

Since this is an issue with the app content, it might be a good idea to contact the Hulu support team for a look.

We hope this gets fixed soon!
