Low volume on certain Roku channels high volume on commercials blast

Some Roku stream channels have a high volume and a low volume.

Channels that have low volume Will blast you with high volume commercials

Channels that have high volume you cannot hear commercials

There needs to be some transparency on the streaming channels because some people have home stereo audio systems and cannot stand the blunt with of a super high volume from a low volume channel when the commercial comes in completely blasts the stereo system which will cause some technical issues with speakers and tuner it may cause amplifier chips to blow

I tried to find a way to contact Roku support about streaming channel issues could not find any topics about it

Yep its terrible . This was  trick back in the olden days on regular tv. The FCC banned the practice and then engineers figured out how to make it louder by making it louder through some kinda technology . I have a TCL roku tv.It doesnt have the volume leveling feature. Many streaming channels bounce me out of my chair. Filmrise comedy is a real problem. Tried o reach out to amazon and you cant get a live person with a bran.

AvsGunnar  I wish I had the leveling or night options, but my Roku TV doesn't have them. The imbalance in volume from channel to channel, show to commercials, etc, is maddening... Even my 20 year-old iPods have a sound equalization feature....

Instead of the Volume Modes, some RokuTVs have "Sound Modes". These vary between manufacturers but may have Standard, Dialogue, Movie, Music, and Night modes.

I know my Insignia RokuTV (when I used it), I had to really crank up the volume for some shows/channels and really turn it down when I switched to others.

I really do prefer the Roku streaming players over the RokuTV (at least in my experience).  My TV allows me to set/fine tune audio preferences that allows it to work with the attached Roku devices. (I then just use the Leveling Mode on the Roku).

Personally, I have little doubt that I will ever purchase/use another RokuTV.
