Black Screen with Sound - when moving between Antenna Channels to Streaming Channels
I'm having the exact same problem with my Roku TV... Going from over the air antenna channels to streaming, the streaming channel blacks out after a few seconds. Have restarted the Roku TV twice. Reset picture settings. This only started after I installed the Roku Backgrounds app. It never happened before that. I uninstalled the Roku Backgrounds app and restarted the Roku TV... Twice. But it keeps happening. I've been using this TV for months without this problem... It only began after installing Backgrounds.
Shows on Roku Channel Suddenly go Black
I've been experiencing a really odd problem. If I'm watching shows OTA, via my digital antenna, then switch to a Roku streamed Channel, the show on the Roku Channel will within 30 seconds, suddenly go dark, then I'll see a spinning figure, and the channel seems to completely disconnect! However, if I go to a Roku Channel, from my OTA channel, then go to another Roku Channel, no shut down occurs, so it's only when I go directly to a Roku Channel from an OTA channel! This is pretty crazy, as there's no reason for this to occur, and it's quite an inconvenience, what's going on?
Live TV does not work, only get a black/blank screen
I have updated, restarted, rest, checked internet speed, use wired and wireless connections and nothing fixes the issue. I've seen the latest post regarding the issue and none of the issues have worked. I've seen community members send in their product info but the reply button was blocked on that thread. Please advise on how to fix this issue or I will be getting rid of my Roku player and switching to something else. Thanks
Roku Channel LiveTV Channels List Print
(Guide updated September 27, 2025) Note: There appears to be an error/bug of two channels with same number of 501 being available this month. To swap between them, just select ch.500 or ch.502 and then select the desired ch.501 you want. (hopefully Roku will address this error). Below is a printable/viewable guide for the Roku Channel linear Live TV lineup with their assigned numbers. Will generally try to do a monthly update unless I notice significant changes have been made to the lineup. I have posted these reference files to an encrypted storage site (mega.nz). Roku Channel LiveTV Guide has two (2) channel 501 listed. (one is 'Law and Order' and other is 'First 48 and Beyond'). Cannot switch between them (because they are seen as same channel) so need to select another channel (ie. ch. 500) and then select the desired channel 501 you want to watch.
ROKU TV guide menu has wrong channels on some of the listings
The TV guide for the over the air channels on my ROKU TV has the local CBS stations listed as PBS. It is odd because all the other channels are listed correctly. I get about 70 channels. The ROKU TV lists all of the the channels correctly, but the guide is wrong. The local CBS station broadcasts 7 sub channels and only the first four channels think they are PBS. I have rescanned, factory reset and unplugged and replugged the TV. Nothing works to fix it. Any suggestions would be appreciated
Do all Roku sticks have a live TV guide
I bought a Roku stick from Argos yesterday for £29.99 (Sept 2025, United Kingdom). My old faithful BT TV box broke so I needed an affordable replacement. I was asking people and stressed the importance of having a guide to see all the TV programmes and everyone kept telling me to get a Roku stick. I have looked on internet for advice and the guidance doesn't work. I go into Home > Menu items > . And there's no option for Live TV. I have only What to Watch, Save List, Shortcuts.
