Britbox App autoplay jump to regular Roku channel
I sleep with my tv on. This morning I awoke to ads on the Britbox app even though I have a PAID and CURRENT subscription.
The Britbox app has ZERO control settings for autoplay and so jumps from program to program. I do NOT know if ZERO autoplay settings are a policy set by Roku or if Britbox is just too lazy to program these settings into their app, because It would seem to me that for as long as Britbox has been around they would have figured out by now how to make settings where consumers cam change autoplay settings.
My complaint is that when Britbox app is playing through Roku channel, the autoplay makes the Britbox app jump to regular Roku channel.
Now $8.99 +tax every month = $9.72 multiply that by 12 months = $116.64/yr. So I would like to think that there are millions of other people who have subscribed to Britbox - so why have ZERO autoplay settings not been instituted within the Britbox app? I am asking why neither Roku nor Britbox has ever addressed the issue of autoplay and will they ever?
Roku is my source of watching tv now because I have cut ties with Amazon Prime - because at Amazon, they are now charging an additional (approximately) $4 for ad-free - I don’t wish to cut ties with Roku over a something as simple as providing a REAL Menu in the Britbox app and most particularly the issue of autplay, but I am beginning to think that streaming tv apps are simply a waste of time and money.
Roku/Britbox should do better.
