Apple TV+ 1-month Free Trial

Has anyone else tried redeeming the one month free trial of Apple TV+?  I've tried several times, with old Apple TV account and tried with new account, and I wasn't getting the 1 month free trial off...

    The Apple TV one-month free trial is available only to first-time app subscribers. Due to your history of app subscriptions, your account is no longer eligible for the free trial.

Not sure if you got this resolved, or if you tried this, but I found your thread looking to see if I needed to create new account or could use an old one. After signing up with the new account on my computer (and I assume this would be the same on mobile), I had the offer to start 7 day free trial. I said "not right now", then when I signed in on the TV, I had the start 1 month free offer available.

No, I haven't heard from anybody in a while.  The offer of 1 month free is still there, as of today, but if I remember correctly, the offer ends today.  After today, it's more unlikely this will be resolved.  The 1 month offer is there, but once you sign in with an old account or create a new account, there is no 1 month free.  Only the 7 day free trial.
