[Solved] Roku Device Stuck in Recovery Mode

Hi Community users,

We are aware of an issue where some Roku devices are getting stuck in recovery mode. We believe the OS 14.1 update has addressed this issue; however, it appears that some TVs aren't updating automatically.

If your TV hasn't updated yet, please provide your Device ID, and we can assist in pushing the update through.

    Hey everyone,

    We believe the OS 14.1 update has resolved the issue for most devices. However, we’ve noticed that some TVs may not be updating automatically.

    We’re locking this thread since it’s outdated. If you’re still having the same issue, check for a newer thread or feel free to start a new one.

    I have an onn tv in recovery mode.. I went through all the steps and downloaded the update on a jump drive , but when I plugged back in the tv, it said that the tv had a newer version and it could not be downgraded and took me back to the main Robert mode screen… but I can’t find where to download a newer version anywhere … HELP

    My tv was stuck in recovery loop for 3-4 weeks…I tried all suggestions numerous times and nothing worked. Finally just left it alone thinking it would not be able to be fixed. After two weeks, I turned it back on and it worked perfectly…

    Make sure everyone knows that the reset button icon is not touch activated and that you have to use a pen or something to stick in the hole next to it to press the reset button.  I know that sounds stupid, but took me several attempts to realize it was not a push button.  My TV is now updated, reactivated and loading channels.  By George, I think it worked!
