Hey everyone!
Status update 8/28: We believed that the issue is now resolved by performing a system restart. You can follow this quick steps below and see if that helps.
- Press Home on your Roku remote
- Scroll and select Settings
- Select System
- Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
- Select System restart
If you've already tried the steps and it's still persisting, please share the following info so we can look into this further.
- Where it is happening? (While streaming, on home screen, or any specific area)
- Roku device model, Device ID, Serial Number, and Software version (It can be found in Settings > System > About)
- Tracker ID (Press Home five times, then press Back button five times when the issue occurs)
- Roku Remote model
Let us know when you can!

Hey, PissedOFF!
I understand that the device is not working entirely now. Can you please try unplugging then plugging it back in and see if that'll get your Roku to work again? Also, if it's still persisting, please provide the info requested on the thread so we can further investigate.
Thanks for your help!

I unplugged it for almost 30 minutes and it finally came back on, but the buttons still are not working on the device. If I use the Roku app on my phone and use that remote it works. It has something to do with the update where you switched it to the new avengers thunderbolts because I can’t get that off my screen.

System restart seems to be working. Back button operates correctly, though I will test more.
I hope roku starts considering a better process for testing. Seems like an unnecessary outage.

It is happening while streaming in any app, it works properly in the home screen area/settings/etc

Software version: 14.6 (build 9916-E9 from the issue/report tracker)

not sure how to find my remote model, but it is what came with the tv 🤷🏻♀️
edit: after restarting multiple times (2-3), the back button now works

I’ve updated and restarted 5 times. Unplugged for 30 minutes. Nothing is working at all!
every time I restart it, the wallpaper thunderbolts the new avengers pops up, even though I’ve changed it. I don’t quite understand why you say the issue has been resolved when obviously by all of the people complaining it has not yet been resolved.
