Re: [Solved] Service Interruption with Google Home/Alexa Commands & Device Connection

Is there a server issue with Amazon and Roku? On 8/12, Roku Smart Home devices (all plugs and lamps) began not responding to Alexa commands.

  • All devices are connected to the same wi-fi network and all other commands work fine on Alexa.
  • I get the same server unresponsive message if I use the Alexa App for the Roku devices.
  • All Roku devices do respond to the Roku Smart Home App. 
  • I have disabled and re-enabled the Roku Skill in the Alexa App.
  • I have reset the Amazon Echo and the Roku plugs/lights.
  • I checked for updates on both the apps and devices. (There was an update same day to my Roku Smart Home App).   

Just wondering if this is a temporary server issue.

    Definitely something on roku's end. Hope they get it fixed soon!
