limited app/channel selection (to cap of 40) missing "more" option.
on the roku device: i have limited app/channel selection for any/all categories. i only have 40 options. the usual "more" option is MISSING, which when selected, will show ~200 options. So, without the "more" option, i am limited to only 40 selections. Chatted with ROKU (Gennamae), they could not open a ticket and sent me here. Agent suggested i go to the website where the "more" option was available. To this i say: 1)the "more" option use to be there. 2)why have a roku device if i cant access all the options. 3) Roku was make so i didnt have to use a website. 4) This is a perfectly REASONABLE request. 5) Im showing a new person how to use Roku and the app/channel options simply are NOT THERE!
Feel Good Network TV app is not available to stream
Anyone else having issues with this app possibly not being real? Trying to find out how to stream on Roku, have app, but cannot get info from them regarding pricing, etc. the phone number to call shows as a scam number and the contact information is clearly bogus for address, location (see image attached). Just wondered if anyone has actually wanted anything on this app or has any information. The images of the “team” look very AI also. Thanks!
Looking for Private Channels Feature or IPTV on Roku? Time to buy a different device!
Goodbye Roku! Hello Amazon FireTV! Just an FYI if you want to be able to use IPTV streaming services, invest in an Amazon FireTV stick, I've seen them new as low as $14.99. Or maybe you hate everything Amazon. Fair enough, there's plenty of other device that utilize an Open Android system. Unlike Android-based operating systems, the Roku OS is a modified Linux OS which acts as its own closed system, meaning there is no way to jailbreak it or customize it. AKA, if they don't want you to use IPTV services, you don't. Save yourself the hassle of searching for hours on ways to sideload Roku with any IPTV streaming services, it is flat out a waste of time. If you are lucky enough to sneak one by on a sideload, it will be quickly disabled and your ability to sideload at all will be revoked. Roku made a definite mistake and underestimated the importance of their Private Channels feature. I for example am getting rid of ALL the many Roku devices I had on different TV's and have sworn off the company. I made one last ditch effort today to see if I could save the devices from storage by sideloading any IPTV streaming service and after wasting 1-2 hours trying, I am throwing in the towel SO SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE. I used to love Roku products and recommended them to all of my friends and family but removing such a beloved feature on all of their devices, I made the switch to Amazon (blegh) FireTV and haven't looked back. That said, I am by no means an Amazon fan and may switch further to just a generic Android device for TVs, that way I can install TiviMate Premium. If you have an IPTV streaming service plan, I'd highly recommend you do the same! Roku cut the private channel feature out of pure greed. They couldn't profit from it, so why allow it to continue? I'm proof why. You will continue to lose customers to your top competitors over this gaffe, I guarantee it. Adios, have fun on your closed system Roku's!Apple TV Issues on Roku Plus
I have an issue with Apple TV. I purchased 2 Roku Plus for an older LG and older Visio TV last month. I have same exact issue on both Roku Plus units. First, Netflix, Amazon, Paramount, Hulu work fine - no issues. Apple TV has the issue as follows. If you want to watch a new show (one you have not seen before) there is no problem. If you want to watch a show/movie again the Apple TV starts then the spinner icon pops up and the show stops. Eventually it asks you if it wants to trouble shoot the issue and if you say yes, it runs its review before telling you that it cannot fix the problem and to try again. This issue also pops up if you are watching a series and you want to pick up the series 1/2 way through an episode. Again, this issue does NOT happen if you have never watched the show, only on shows/movies you have already started. We have done all the advised steps from Roku advice. 1. kill app, restart Roku, reinstall app 2. Amend sound to stereo 3. hard reboot Roku by unplugging 4. Reboot router Have tested the wireless speed at both Roku sites and it is 320 Mbps download/620Mbps upload speeds. So frustrated. The whole reason we got the Roku sticks was that we got tired of connecting laptops to TV everytime we wanted to watch a show/movie. What is the solution? Help. PLEASE. Thank you.
Searching for channels, not TV shows or movies
I don't see a way to do this. When I start typing in the search box, it automatically says "TV shows and movies." I'm looking for CHANNELS, or apps more appropriately. I'm in the US and have had Roku for 13 years. I used to be able to do this. Cache cleared, Roku deleted/reinstalled, restarted several times. Since they're not in alphabetical order, it would be difficult to find by scrolling. Thanks.Hulu login and availability issue
Hello. For some reason I go into Hulu it loads like normal but then when I hit play on a show it tells me Hulu is not available in your region or you may be using a VPN. I am in the US and I don’t even know how to get or use a VPN.. I’ve tried restarting my Roku and it won’t work. I need help or should I go to Hulu about it?
