Roku TV Platform removed from my home

So ROKU, I have to delete your TV from my home!!! All 75" of this screen is diving into the street of Loser Ave. Your platform is horrible, everything about your platform is deletably significant. It is now time to seriously weigh all smartTVs across the board or Projectors for that matter, but succinctly, it is a matter of removing your TV right this instant!

Pairing Roku Remote turns off the IR signal - Model G851X (vs EARC issue)

I have found, through a LONG process, that on the Roku TV model G851X there is a serious issue. It comes with the Roku Voice Remote Pro. When I first installed the new TV (replacement for troubleshooting eARC issue) it started using the Roku Voice Remote Pro immediately without the pairing so I continued to complete the setup. I did not pair the remote at this time. In order to use my soundbar I had to use the Optical interface. I thought, why not give the new remote and TV a try with learning the IR code from the remote since eARC had obviously not been fixed yet. I then put my sound bar in learning mode (volume up, volume down, mute) and low and behold it worked! I could then control my volume on the soundbar with the remote (using the Optical interface). Now this went on for about a month and then I decided to actually pair the remote (so I could see the battery indicator). As soon as I paired the remote to this TV the programing of the remote TURNED OFF THE IR INTERFACE! If you do a factory reset on the voice remote pro and point your camera at the IR interface while pushing the volume up button you can see the IR signal (purple light picked up by your cell phones camera). As soon as you pair it they turn off the IR signal (once again verified by pointing my phone camera at the interface). Now that "might" make sense IF you could actually control stuff via eARC, however when using the Optical interface it makes NO sense to turn it off. They need to either leave the IR interface on ALL THE TIME or have an option to turn it on or off. I ended up grabbing another Roku remote that worked with the TV (from an Insignia) and then used it's IR to program the soundbar.

Roku Simple remote not working - Roku Express HD

Hi there, My Roku simple remote for my Roku Express HD has stopped working and I’ve tried resetting the box, changing the batteries in the remote, and all the other suggested troubleshooting tips, and the remote still doesn’t work. This makes me think that the sensor in the remote has gone. I’ve only had the box for around a year, so I’m pretty disappointed that the remote has died so quickly. I noticed a few months ago that it was missing occasional button presses, but hoped the remote would last longer than a year. Could I therefore be sent a replacement remote? Thanks, Josh.

Slow streaming channels Response, TCL Roku TV model 32S327-CA

Our subscribed streaming channels which run without a problem on our computer are extremely slow and very hard to use on the Roku TV. The software is up-to-date, version 13.1.4 build 1510-48. I just checked for an update and there is none. Britbox and Disney are both almost unusable with their lag in response to the Roku remote controls. Acorn TV, which was always fast response now seems to have a slower response to the remote control, compared to what it used to be. I don't know whether the problem is with the performance of the paid streaming apps on our Roku TV but it is not with the platforms/channels themselves because they run smoothly and without lag on our computer (which is on the same wireless network as the Roku TV.) The cable TV channels we subscribe to run/respond on the Roku TV without lags/problems. (Once we have selected TV channels from the home menu, a different remote controller from the TV service provider is used, not the Roku remote control.)

    Westinghouse Roku Tv Menu Issues

Hey Community, So I power on my Westinghouse Roku tv with roku streaming remote + and immediately Netflix pops on screen, in bottom left corner this option pops up about using option 1 or option 2 (I don't have a clue what this is or what it means) so I tap to close it and tv doesn't want to respond leaving Netflix app so after it finally leaves Netflix, the home menu where your apps are listed, etc just started doing its own thing making selections in the menu settings and apps list, as it's clicking around some of the apps disappear on the app list then reappear and same within the menu settings while I have no control with roku remote, it finally stops but it starts again going back and forth to Netflix app (which I've never used) and repeating the same behavior again and it's happened 2 more times and now it's back normal. I'm not sure which is the culprit, roku tv, streaming remote or Netflix app or something else. I'm hoping some of you guys might have an idea as to what might be the issue. Any advice would be welcomed! Thank you!

AGAIN Roku app cannot find IP address of Roku Express

UPDATE TO ORIGINAL POST: I thought I had found a solution to this problem by turning off the privacy settings on my iPhone WiFi settings. This stopped working pretty quickly. Then the app started working randomly again for a few days, without having to change any iOS settings! Unfortunately, the situation has now reverted to not being able to connect. I have confirmed that the app works with Roku’s at other houses. My internet provider says the issue is not theirs. Does Roku have a solution yet? My roommates and I have been using the Roku app as a remote for our Roku Express specifically because of the ability to play audio through headphones and not disturb each other. It was working for months, but in the past few weeks the app would randomly drop the connection then have to reconnect. Today, the app could not connect to the device at all. I have restarted the app and the device, checked the WiFi setting, and even factory reset the device. The phone and the device are linked to the same WiFi, the IP addresses are both 192.168.1.XX. No VPNs are involved. The connection on the Roku device says it is excellent. When I try to connect manually with the IP address, the app says there is no device found there. I am inputting the correct address, as I am copying it directly from the “About” section from my TV screen. Control by mobile apps on the device is set to default. The WiFi is Spectrum. We only have one network available, and we cannot even access the Access Point settings. The phones have local network access enabled for the app. We have tried with multiple phones, all iPhones running the latest iOS, so we believe it is a problem with our device or the app, not the phones. We have gone through every step given by Roku’s troubleshooting guide, and nothing has changed.

No remote/ disconnected for unknown reason?

I have 2 Roku devices. One in my bedroom, one in the living room. I used my bedroom roku this morning and when I came back from work, it stopped working. My app lists it under ‘previously used devices.’ I’ve done what I’ve read in similar questions. I’ve unplugged it. I’ve checked the wifi( I know this is fine because my Roku in the living room is discoverable and still working.) I can’t hold the reset button on the device because I lost the physical remote and have been using my remote. is there anything else I can try? Thank you!! (Roku stick)

Request for Roku to not exit the app when pressing Play

Please, I'm so fed up with coming back to my RokuTV after pausing it, hitting Play/Pause on the remote to resume play, and instead, without any prompt to confirm that I actually want to exit my program, the app I'm using is forced close and I'm dumped on the home screen and asked to enter my pin to add some channel I don't want to add. Why does Play/Pause function as the Pause button when I'm watching TV, but as the "click ad" button when my TV is paused, while the OK is button is normally the "click something" button but when I'm on pause becomes the Play button? Why can't Play/Pause just always be Play/Pause and use the OK button to click on screensaver ads? Also, why do I get a timed prompt to cancel if I click the Netflix button on my remote, or use a voice command to request a different app, but clicking on an ad while my TV is paused can eject me from my current app with no confirmation required? The unintuitive reversal of expected button functions wouldn't be nearly so bad if I could at least cancel these accidentally ad clicks before it closes the app I was using. Please, please, I am begging you to do something about this. Make the Play/Pause button only Play and Pause.

Problems connecting the Roku device/tv to a mobile app.

I can’t connect to any app anymore. I have two devices. One is a Roku TV and another is a Roku portable usb device. I was able to connect the Roku app on both devices. Also a “mirror app” that I use to watch movies from my phone. Suddenly I am not able able to connect to any of these anymore. It doesn’t find any Roku devices on same network. I had to reconnect my wireless one day (I don’t know why it got disconnected, but after this happened, It is like they are not on same network anymore, but they are) anyone have an idea what can it be? I am able to AirPlay, but the apps doesn’t find any Roku devices. I tried to connect manually but that also doesn’t work. I don’t know what it is since nothing has changed aside reconnecting the wireless on both tvs. Going to reinforce they ARE on same wireless account. I did reset everything already. That’s not the problem.
