Youtube app audio is skipping and choppy with Private Listening
I use the Roku remote app’s private listening feature to connect my headphones to my roku tv through bluetooth. Recently, the Youtube app audio will not play correctly when I am listening through my headphones. It makes it sound chopped up and sporadic. Here is what I’ve already done to try to fix this: • I turned off and on the private listening feature from my app • I closed the roku app completely and reopened it • I disconnected my headphones’ bluetooth to my phone • I turned the power off on my headphones and then back on and reconnected • I restarted my tv • I checked to see if my tv needed a software update. It is up to date • I tested the audio of different apps through my headphones. They all work perfectly. So far it is only the Youtube app that has this issue. • I checked to see if the Youtube app needed updating. It is the current version. • I uninstalled the Youtube app from my tv and reinstalled it. No change. • I played the youtube app audio through my tv instead of my headphones through private listening and it sounds fine. At first I assumed this was an issue with my headphones but they play everything except the Youtube app perfectly normally.12KViews23likes84CommentsPride Wallpaper changed from old one
It automatically changed my pride wallpaper to a different one (og one I had was the stripes going across the screen) Don’t get me wrong I like that Roku has Pride wallpapers but I want the one I had before back, I have searched the wallpapers section in the settings and I can’t find it anywhere and I’d love my old wallpaper back.3.9KViews12likes14CommentsAnother added Ads on home screen
Last night I started up one of my many Roku sticks and saw an "update" message flash on the screen. It seems my stick has been updated to your new OS 13 (unfortunately). Now I see an ad on the bottom left of the home screen for the slutty, morally bankrupt, self-promoting Kardashians program on Hulu. I never says ads on the bottom left before OS 13. I have youngsters that we are trying to teach good values and you put that trash ad on the Roku home screen! And with just a push of a button it plays! What is wrong with you, Roku? Have you no decency or morals? Are you so greedy with ad revenue that you will post any trash on your home screen? What's next? Soft porn, hard porn, or snuff films? If you must cram ads down our throats on the home screen then why can't you put family oriented, child safe, non trash ads on the home screen? I respect the rights of anyone who loves the Kardashians and wants to watch them. But for those of us who find them and programs like that disgusting we don't want to have them crammed down our throats on the home screen. The Roku home screen should be neutral containing only family, child safe content. Of course you give us customers no way to turn off these ads or at minimum block the currently displayed ad if a household doesn't allow that type of trash to be viewed by young children. And don't say to go settings privacy and turn on the option to let advertisers spy on you so you can select the type of ads you don't want displayed. I tried that and the trash Kardashians ad still display on the bottom left. Roku - get some common decency and stop pushing trash on your home screen or give us to the option to block it. If and when we want to watch such trash we can start up an app and select it from the app itself. I'm assuming this post will deleted quickly by Roku but at least I've tried.2.9KViews7likes7Comments[OS 13] Automatic exit Guest Mode, bad firmware update.
We have three Rokus in our Airbnb. All three have had their Guest Modes stop working. Now when the device is turned on, the Welcome screen is no longer displayed. Instead, the TV opens to a guest mode "menu" with pretty much nothing in it. (https://ibb.co/9gN3W0X) When you select the "Guest Options" menu item, you see that "You'll be automatically signed out: Dec 31 at 7:00 pm". (https://ibb.co/NjjDKZj) That's obviously not right, so I selected "Sign out and clear info" but then receive a message saying "Oops... There was a problem connecting to the server. Please try again later." (https://ibb.co/9gM4CWF) I have toggled Guest Mode on and off and restarted the Rokus but the problem persists. I've also factory reset all three devices. The problem subsided for a day or so and is now back again. I'm guessing the devices received a firmware update towards the end of August that killed Guest Mode since they all started the same behavior around that timeframe. Is anyone else seeing these problems?Solved5.5KViews4likes57CommentsNo private listening through Android App
