Streambar Pro audio drops out only on hdmi sources
Ok I’m finally posti my about an issue that has been driving me nuts for months now. I have a TCL 55R635 TV that I purchased a Roku Streambar Pro, Roku wireless speakers and subwoofer for to set up the surround sound system. I have the Streambar Pro hooked up to the earc port on HDMI4 on the tv, and all audio settings set to auto. This setup worked well for about 7 months, and then around March I started getting consistent audio drops every 3 minutes or so, lasting for about a second at a time. This appears to only happen on devices hooked up to other hdmi ports, such as my Apple TV, Xbox, and PS5. Does not happen on the Roku native apps on the tv. I have tried every possible combination of HDMI cords, ports, and audio settings and absolutely cannot figure out a solution that works. Any help would be appreciated Edit: I should note I'm fairly positive the problem lies with the streambar, as ive tried another soundbar on the same HDMI port and cord and had no issue whatsoever.2.6KViews3likes3CommentsRoku express making static/scrubbing noise
I just got a new roku express and when I began using it it makes a weird, loud static type of noise. The noise happens even when then TV is muted, so it’s not coming through the TV speakers. I’ve tried all of the solutions for distorted audio and none of them have helped. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?Solved31KViews3likes7CommentsStreaming device volume drops or gets distorted
Model 3810x software 12.0.0 build 4184-50 volume will get distorted, go up or down intermittently. This has been happening several months and getting worse. I have had these devices and loved them until this problem started. sometimes it will get resolved when going back to the home screen or restarting the stick. I have seen several posts with the same problem for the Roku tv and other streaming devices going back to early 2022 with no clear resolution. Verifying the audio is set to auto doesn’t have any affect. I have tried it several ways, but the problem keeps happening. If the problem is across multiple devices, then that would indicate it is a software problem.Solved4.2KViews2likes25Comments
